Book a Night Rock Hunting Tour

Find glowing rocks, using our high powered UV flashlights.  Enjoy a sxs ride to visit remote beaches to find amazing rocks.  Cost:  $100/person

We supply everything you need for a tour; high powered UV flashlights, protective eyewear, walking and rock sticks available upon request.  

Dress in dark clothing and dress in layers. Footwear can be boots or sneakers.  You have the option to hunt near or in the water or up on the sand.  We guarantee everyone will find glowing rocks!  We have never been skunked!

Things to do in Grand Marais

Located on the shores of Lake Superior this quaint town offers outdoor fun for the entire family.  Enjoy rock hunting on Agate beach, build sand castles on the sandy shore of the bay, explore town and the outdoor sites just outside of town.  Less than one mile away from downtown is Sable Falls.  Make a day of it and walk from the falls out to the beach to play on the sand dunes.  While in town enjoy the Light Keepers Museum, the Post Office Museum, The Pickle Barrel, and the shops and bars all centrally located.  

 

 

 

Day Trips

Once you have explored Grand Marais, there are several day trips that are worth the less than one hour drive out of town.  Tahquamenon Falls, Kitch-iti-kipi, Fayette Historic Park, Oswald Bear Ranch, Whitefish Point, Mouth of the Two Hearted River, Crisp Point just to name a few.
